With Chrome uninstalled one more time, I started the machine again, but this time I find out that MS Security Essentials and Audio had been turned off, and things were sluggish, crashing again: MS Word, Firefox, MS Explorer, Notepad, etc. Chrome so far has not been able to browse any URL, and always freezes everything up on my PC. As soon as I started using Chrome again, the problems came back.

Then I decide to re-install Chrome, going to Google to download fresh install file. I started using Firefox, and no problem for a couple days. Once restarted, WIndows seemed to work OK.

I ran scans using MalwareBytes Anti-Malware free virus scan.

I uninstalled Chrome, cleaned out all temporary internet files, cleaned out my registry, using CCleaner. It would not be able to reach any server out there online, would freeze, and make everything on my desktop freeze as well, and again, Windows would eventually crash too.

Eventually I could not do anything once Chrome was launched. Then the Windows started crashing to blue screen, several times each day, each time while I was using Chrome. Recently Google Chrome started acting sluggish, often crashing. I am still hearing the 'tone' when I remove my headset and as said, I hear through my headset.I'm running a Windows 7 PC, have had it for several years. I googled it and I ended up at this malware forum so could it be a virus?

These are Driver Service added (anvsnddrv) and Device installed (anvsnddrv.inf) and information underneath reads " Driver Management has concluded the process to add Service anvsnddrv for Device Instance ID ROOT\MEDIA\0000 with the following status: 0."ĭoes anyone know what this means, could it be anything to do with my speakers not working. I just took a look in advanced options for the AnvSoft Virtual Sound device properties and notice at about the time it stopped working, under Events, there are 2 entries under TimeStamp. I can hear sound through the headset fine, and when I view the sound device on my control panel, the graphic equaliser bar moves on the speakers and headset - so it must be identifying sound. Hi, a couple of days ago my speakers stopped working on my Samsung notebook.
